Welding Engineer (m/f)
Opportunity with a client located in the south of Germany for a
Welding / NDE Specialist with heavy industrial or power plant
maintenance / repair experience. This position will be responsible
to provide an "expert" level of consultation and complex problem
solving skills associated with applicable piping and auxiliary
equipment to Plant Operations in areas such as welding, metallurgy,
nondestructive examination, and failure analysis. The ability to
formulate and develop NDE inspection strategies, techniques and
procedures for plant systems and components and to develop and
qualify welding techniques and write welding procedures for use by
Plant Operations, as well as other typical duties associated with
the level of this position will be required.
Requirements:
- 10 or more years of heavy industrial experience with piping
fabrication and erection and the non-destructive examination of
power plant components
- functional knowledge of the assembly and disassembly of pressure
vessels, steam turbines, combustion turbines, large pumps, and large
fans is a must
- knowledge of other plant equipment and systems, to include
boilers, heat exchangers and condensers is also a must
- Candidate needs to have a thorough understanding of the design,
construction and repair codes used in power plants
- the ideal candidate will have a BS in Welding Engineering or
Metallurgy from an institution with a certified Engineering
curriculum although other disciplines or non
degreed candidates may also be considered depending on the experience
- willingness to relocate to Germany
- very good spoken and written English skills
- knowledge in German will be a plus
- availability (notice period and desired time to start)

Salary will be commensurate based on education and experience.
Relocation is available. Salary over all EUR65k up to EUR85k a year.
